Apply Now! Youth Pastor in Overland Park, KS

Being the Youth Pastor at Vineyard Community Church involves guiding a vibrant volunteer team, organizing impactful events, and fostering clear communication.

Vineyard Community Church

The Job

Vineyard Community Church is looking for a Youth Pastor who genuinely loves students and believes God is already at work in their lives. This role is about far more than running a program. It is about walking with middle and high school students as they discover who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him in real life. Serving students in grades 5 through 12, the Youth Pastor will create environments where questions are welcomed, faith is formed, and students are invited into an authentic relationship with God.

This leader will guide weekly gatherings, small groups, retreats, and special events while building strong partnerships with parents and volunteer leaders. Working closely with the Associate Pastor of Family Ministries and the Lead Pastor, the Youth Pastor will help shape a ministry that reflects Vineyard’s heart for discipleship, spiritual formation, and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. The right person will be relational, prayerful, and deeply committed to helping students encounter God, not just learn about Him.

The Location

Overland Park, Kansas, is a thriving suburban community just outside Kansas City and is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the country. Known for excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, and a strong sense of community, it is an ideal place for families and long-term ministry. With extensive parks, youth sports, and access to arts, concerts, and professional sports in Kansas City, Overland Park offers a healthy rhythm of life where relationships and ministry can flourish.

The Church

Vineyard Community Church is a growing congregation of approximately 450 to 500 people gathering across two Sunday services. As part of the Vineyard movement, the church places a strong emphasis on experiencing God’s presence, living in authentic community, and joining God in His mission. Vineyard operates with a staff-led, elder-guided, people-empowered leadership model that values collaboration and shared ownership.

Following a healthy pastoral transition, the church has experienced renewed momentum, welcomed new families, and seen increasing engagement among students and volunteers. The church’s vision invites people to encounter, experience, embody, and express the transforming love of God in Christ Jesus.

The Worship Experience

Worship at Vineyard Community Church is modern, warm, and Spirit-led. Services intentionally allow space for extended worship, prayer, and ministry, drawing from Vineyard Worship, Bethel, Hillsong, and Elevation Worship. Teaching is Scripture-rooted and practical, typically lasting about 35 minutes, and is supported by opportunities for communion, prayer, and personal ministry.

Apply Now

If you long to help students genuinely encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and live out the gospel in everyday life, Vineyard Community Church invites you to apply. This is an opportunity to join a healthy, Spirit-led church and invest deeply in the next generation during a season of renewed life and vision.
