The Job
Island Community Church is seeking a Youth Pastor who believes the next generation is not the church of tomorrow, but the church of today. In a season marked by growth and renewed momentum, this leader will step into a student ministry that is already gaining traction and help shape it into something even deeper and more transformative.
Serving students in grades 6 through 12, the Youth Pastor will do more than organize events. This role is about walking alongside teenagers as they form identity, wrestle with faith, and learn to follow Jesus with courage and conviction. Weekly gatherings, retreats, outreach nights, and small groups will all serve one central aim: helping students encounter Christ personally and grow as disciples.
Because Islamorada is a close-knit island community, presence matters. Showing up at games, building relationships in local schools, partnering with parents, and investing in volunteer leaders will define success here. This is relational ministry at its core, rooted in visibility, consistency, and genuine care.
The Location
Islamorada, in the heart of the Florida Keys, offers a ministry setting unlike anywhere else. With a population of approximately 15,000, the island blends seasonal tourism with strong local ties. Life revolves around the water, hospitality, and community connection.
The natural beauty of fishing, boating, and year-round outdoor living creates a restorative environment for life and ministry. Yet the unique rhythms of island life also mean relationships are everything. When trust is built, doors open. When leaders invest consistently, impact multiplies.
The Church
Island Community Church is a non-denominational, Evangelical-Conservative congregation averaging 350 to 400 in weekly attendance. With a 50 percent increase in attendance, a newly renovated 478-seat sanctuary, and no debt, the church is experiencing a season of healthy expansion and opportunity.
The mission is clear: building a Christ-centered community committed to fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. Under strong pastoral leadership and engaged elders, the church has seen growth in children’s ministry and renewed energy in FUEL Student Ministry. The foundation is solid. The next step is strategic investment in the next generation.
The Worship Experience
Worship at Island Community Church is modern, heartfelt, and biblically grounded. Services run 60 to 75 minutes and feature a full band leading contemporary worship with occasional modernized hymns. Teaching is Scripture-centered and practical, calling people toward obedience and transformation. Community Groups meet twice monthly, reinforcing spiritual growth and meaningful connection beyond Sunday mornings.

If you are called to build something lasting in a growing church, to shepherd students in a deeply relational community, and to invest where faith can take root for generations, Island Community Church invites you to apply.
