Embracing the Journey

The importance of trusting God’s timing and guidance in the ministry job search.

Trust the Process, Candidate

A Testimonial of Faith and Ministry with Chemistry Staffing

In the world of ministry, finding the right church position can sometimes feel like a daunting and uncertain process. For many, the journey is filled with questions, waiting, and moments of doubt. However, as Malachi Alexander’s story illustrates, trusting the process—and more importantly, trusting God’s timing—can lead to incredible opportunities for growth and impact.

Malachi recently transitioned into his new role as the Pastor of Families at Huntersville Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, NC. After going through Chemistry Staffing’s interview and hiring process, he found himself in a position that aligns perfectly with his passion for ministry and his calling to serve families.

Reflecting on his experience, Malachi shared his deep gratitude for the structured and intentional process provided by Chemistry Staffing. From the initial application to the final hiring decision, he felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. “It was clear that you approached this work with prayerful discernment, and I always felt supported,” Malachi said. “From start to finish, Chemistry Staffing was organized and thorough, making what could have been a stressful process smooth and filled with purpose.”

Malachi expressed excitement about the new season ahead at Huntersville Presbyterian Church. “The church and the community offer a unique and exciting opportunity to share the gospel in a fresh way with families. This role presents both a challenge and a blessing to reshape and revitalize ministry for a new season of growth and impact,” he shared.

For those who are currently navigating the search for a new ministry role, Malachi offers this piece of wisdom: “Stay committed and trust in God’s timing and guidance. This journey can feel uncertain at times, but as Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.’” He encourages candidates to remain patient and faithful, knowing that God will bring them to the right place at the right time.

This encouragement is a powerful reminder that even in the waiting, God is at work. The right position is not just about finding a job—it’s about stepping into the place where God has prepared for you to serve and thrive. While the process may have its challenges, trusting in God’s leading ensures that the journey will result in His best plan unfolding in your life.

Malachi’s story is a testament to the value of working with a team like Chemistry Staffing, which seeks to match candidates with churches in a way that fosters long-term ministry success. If you are currently in the search process, take heart. “I appreciate the opportunity to celebrate this next step and the partnership we’ve shared through this process,” Malachi added. “The right church is out there for you, and God will lead you to it in His perfect timing.”
