Good Shepherd Church is on a mission, “Inviting all people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ.” Good Shepherd is transforming lives through Family Ministry, Lifegroups, domestic and foreign missions, as well as strategic initiatives like re|generation ministry for recovery and discipleship and the Greater Charlotte Marriage Initiative promoting healthy marriages. The Family Ministry Team at Good Shepherd is looking for an experienced leader of leaders to guide students into a living relationship with Jesus Christ through leadership, discipleship, and strategic planning.
The new Student Pastor will:
- Partner with parents as the primary spiritual caregivers for their students
- Communicate and collaborate with key leaders and stakeholders
- Supervise staff
- Organize events, missions, and worship gatherings for students
- Recruit and develop volunteer leaders and teams

Great candidates will have strong leadership skills, both for guiding and mentoring students as well as leading leaders and teams. They will be effective communicators, both in writing and from the stage. Great candidates have a track record of leading large student ministries using a highly relational approach that helps students be known, loved, and cared for. Above all they will model a dynamic, growing relationship with Christ and a healthy, God-honoring family.
