The Job

Rio Vista Church in vibrant Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is seeking a passionate and relational Student Ministries Director to lead its dynamic middle and high school ministries. This vital role calls for a leader who is not only theologically grounded but also innovative and entrepreneurial in approach. The Student Ministries Director will oversee discipleship programming, student engagement, team leadership, outreach events, and collaboration with Bethany Christian School.

The ideal candidate will be a gifted teacher, a relational mentor, and an engaging communicator who can effectively connect with students, families, and the wider community. This person will build meaningful partnerships, nurture spiritual growth among students, and bring energy and creativity to one of Rio Vista's most exciting ministry opportunities.

Fort Lauderdale, often called the "Venice of America," is a sun-soaked, coastal city known for its extensive canal system, world-class beaches, and cultural diversity. The Church

Founded in 1941, Rio Vista Church is a thriving PCA congregation with deep roots and a forward-looking mission. With an average weekend attendance of over 500 and a $3.5 million annual budget, the church is experiencing a season of record growth. It’s a place where believers grow in grace, seekers find truth, and skeptics are welcomed with compassion.

The church emphasizes prayer, spiritual revival, and leadership development through programs like the Prayer House, the Rio House for single moms, and Alpha evangelism. Its partnership with Church United and a shared campus with Bethany Christian School reflect its holistic approach to ministry and mission.

 

The Worship Experience

Rio Vista offers two identical Sunday services filled with vibrant worship, blending modern worship music with updated hymns from artists like Shane and Shane, Bethel, and Maverick City. A full worship band and dedicated prayer teams make each gathering a spiritually rich and participatory experience.

Children’s ministries run during both services, reinforcing the church’s strong commitment to next-generation discipleship. The Student Ministries Director will have the chance to engage in this worship culture, contributing to a compelling and formative spiritual environment.

He is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with International Coaching Federation (ICF) and has certifications in church consulting and church revitalization. Jason enjoys helping churches navigate the complexities inherent in growing staff teams.
