Trinity Evangelical Free Church Ludington

The Job

Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Ludington, Michigan, is seeking a Student Ministries Pastor to lead and nurture a growing ministry for students in grades 6 through 12. This role exists to help students become more committed disciples of Jesus by creating environments where faith is formed, questions are welcomed, and relationships are central. The Student Ministries Pastor will champion the vision for student ministry, lead engaging weekly gatherings, develop meaningful small groups, and plan experiences that invite students to grow spiritually and relationally.

This leader will recruit, equip, and encourage a strong volunteer team while partnering closely with parents and the broader church staff. Trinity is intentionally investing in a full-time student ministry leader, recognizing the importance of discipling the next generation in a focused and thoughtful way. The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial spirit, a heart for students, and a desire to connect with schools and the wider community beyond the church walls.

The Location

Ludington is a scenic lakeside community on the shores of Lake Michigan, known for its natural beauty and strong sense of community. With a population of just over 7,600, the town offers a welcoming, small-town atmosphere paired with year-round outdoor recreation. Residents enjoy fishing, biking, swimming, hiking, and winter sports, along with vibrant local events that bring the community together. Stearns Park, often called the crown jewel of Michigan state parks, is a centerpiece of life in Ludington and a favorite gathering place for families and visitors alike.

The Church

Founded in 1882, Trinity Evangelical Free Church has a long history of faithfulness and adaptability. Today, the church averages around 435 people in weekly attendance and has seen steady growth, particularly among young families. Trinity is elder governed with staff-led daily operations and values a collaborative team culture rather than a hierarchical structure. The church exists to glorify God by making more and stronger disciples of Jesus Christ, guided by three core values: Gospel, Community, and Mission.

The Worship Experience

Worship at Trinity Evangelical Free Church is contemporary and engaging, led by a diverse worship team and full band. Services last about an hour and include twenty to twenty-five minutes of singing and approximately thirty minutes of expository preaching, with occasional topical series. Teaching is clear, approachable, and communicative, designed to help people apply God’s Word to everyday life.

If you are passionate about discipling students, building meaningful relationships, and investing in a church committed to Gospel centered growth, Trinity Evangelical Free Church invites you to apply. This is an opportunity to shape a student ministry with strong support, clear vision, and lasting impact in a close-knit and vibrant community.
