The Student Director at Riverview Church provides pastoral leadership, vision, and strategic oversight for middle and high school ministries across all venues. This role is designed for a leader who can build a compelling ministry direction, cultivate a healthy team culture, and create environments where students feel known, challenged, and encouraged in their faith. With a strong emphasis on relational leadership and intentional discipleship, the Student Director will help shape a ministry that not only engages students week to week, but also equips them to take meaningful ownership of their spiritual growth.

At the heart of this opportunity is a commitment to helping students encounter Christ in authentic and transformative ways. The Student Director will champion a ministry culture where biblical teaching, genuine community, and personal investment come together to support middle and high school students in a pivotal season of life. By offering thoughtful leadership and a clear sense of purpose, this person will play a key role in guiding the overall vision of the student ministry and helping it flourish.

Originally from Baltimore, Matt currently lives in Orlando, with his wife Theresa, and has a B.S. in Youth Ministry from Nyack College and an M.Div. and MBA from Baylor University. Certified as an Urban Church Planter Coach by Redeemer City to City and as a StratOp facilitator by the Paterson Center, Matt has made a career of helping churches thrive through intentionality, clarity, and creating healthy cultures. He is convinced that a healthy church is led by a healthy team with great chemistry, and loves partnering with Chemistry’s churches to do great things for the Kingdom.
