Trinity Baptist Church

The Job

Are you a passionate disciple-maker with a heart for the city and a deep love for the Word of God? Trinity Baptist Church in Brockton, Massachusetts, is seeking a Senior Pastor who will serve as a visionary leader, faithful shepherd, and gospel-centered preacher in a richly diverse urban community. This is an opportunity for someone who values expository preaching, cross-cultural ministry, and intentional discipleship within a city poised for spiritual renewal.

The Senior Pastor will lead in teaching, vision casting, pastoral care, and staff oversight while collaborating closely with the Council of Elders. Trinity is looking for someone with a clear call to urban ministry, a burden for the lost, and a joyful love for the church. If you long to see revival and transformation through relational ministry, this might be the place where God wants to use you.

The Location

Brockton, MA, affectionately known as the “City of Champions,” is just 30 minutes from Boston and offers an urban lifestyle with a strong sense of community and cultural richness. As a designated Gateway City, Brockton is home to a vibrant immigrant population, including large Cape Verdean and Haitian communities. With affordable housing, a thriving arts scene, and deep civic engagement, Brockton is both a place of opportunity and a mission field waiting to be cultivated.

The city’s diversity is its strength, and the churches in the area are increasingly working together to bring gospel-centered transformation. Trinity Baptist Church desires to be a key partner in this movement, reaching the city through prayer, partnership, and presence.

The Church

Founded in 1883 by Swedish immigrants seeking spiritual freedom, Trinity Baptist Church has a long legacy of faithfulness, resilience, and cultural adaptability. Today, Trinity is an evangelical, conservative, multiethnic congregation committed to disciple-making, biblical teaching, and city transformation. Governed by a Council of Elders and supported by a committed leadership team, Trinity has weathered leadership transitions with grace and grit.

Its ministries include small groups, city-wide outreach, discipleship pathways, and mercy initiatives like the Manna Dinner and Clothes Closet. Trinity aims to empower each member to embrace their God-given calling, living out their faith as disciple-makers in their homes, neighborhoods, and beyond.

The Worship Experience

Worship at Trinity Baptist Church is expressive, reverent, and rooted in Scripture. The worship style blends contemporary Christian music, Black Gospel, and hymns—offered with recorded tracks, a cappella, or live music from their Praise and Worship leaders. Services include prayer, Scripture reading, engaging teaching, and heartfelt praise.

The congregation is warm and welcoming, fostering a family-like atmosphere where spiritual growth and relational connection flourish. Trinity seeks to elevate its worship expression in the coming season by incorporating more live music and encouraging full participation from the body.
