Grace Fellowship of Kent is prayerfully seeking a Pastor to join them in the next chapter of their church’s life and mission. Located in Kent, Washington, just south of Seattle, Grace Fellowship is a Christ-centered, Bible-anchored congregation with a rich history, a diverse community, and a hopeful vision for the future. It is part of the Anabaptist tradition and the Charis Fellowship (Grace Brethren), and will soon celebrate its 60th Anniversary.
Founded in 1966, Grace Fellowship of Kent has been a faithful presence in the community for nearly six decades. They hold firmly to the conviction: “The Bible, the whole Bible, and nothing but the Bible.” Scripture shapes their preaching, worship, and shared life together.
They worship through a blend of traditional hymns, gospel songs, and worship choruses, paired with biblically rooted preaching that is both expository and practical. Monthly communion, including a cherished threefold communion practice, reflects their commitment to meaningful spiritual rhythms and community life.
Grace Fellowship is led by a team of elders, with members actively participating in key decisions. Their church property—fully owned and debt-free—includes a well-maintained sanctuary, fellowship spaces, classrooms, and undeveloped land that offers future ministry possibilities.
Kent is a vibrant, diverse city within the greater Seattle area, offering the best of both worlds: access to urban amenities and proximity to mountains, lakes, and outdoor recreation. The neighborhood reflects a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, including growing Chinese-speaking and non-Christian communities. In response, the church hosts combined English-Chinese worship services, with live Mandarin translation, as a tangible expression of welcome and unity in Christ.
They are seeking a Pastor who will serve on the elder board, providing spiritual leadership rooted in prayer, Scripture, and shepherding care. This role includes preaching and teaching, pastoral care, equipping volunteers, supporting children’s ministry, and helping to reach new people with the gospel.
The Pastor will work closely with elders and lay leaders, balancing hands-on ministry with collaborative leadership. The position offers a salary range of $75,000–$100,000, depending on experience, with a minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree.
If you are a person who loves God deeply and genuinely cares for people, is committed to biblical teaching and prayer, leads with humility, integrity, and joy, has a missional heart for outreach and disciple-making, and enjoys developing and empowering volunteers, we encourage you to apply for the position.
