Apply Now! Lead Pastor in Salesville, OH

Kennonsburg Church in Salesville, Ohio, is actively seeking a Holy Spirit-led Lead Pastor dedicated to guiding spiritual growth and facilitating community impact.

Kennonsburg Church

Kennonsburg Church in Salesville, Ohio, is prayerfully seeking a Holy Spirit-led Lead Pastor to help guide a faithful, renewed, and mission-minded congregation into its next season of ministry.

Located near the beautiful Seneca Lake recreation area in the Appalachian foothills, Kennonsburg Church serves a rural and relational community surrounded by farms, wooded hillsides, small towns, Amish communities, and seasonal vacationers. With a weekend attendance of around 100, debt-free, and a modern 10,000-square-foot facility on 30 acres, the church is well-positioned for continued growth, outreach, and discipleship.

Founded in 1839, Kennonsburg Church has entered a season of fresh vision and renewed identity. After separating from the United Methodist Church in 2023, the congregation completed an intentional interim process and joined the Missionary Church USA in January 2025. Today, Kennonsburg is committed to “spreading the love of Jesus Christ as a beacon near and far through the infilling and empowering of the Holy Spirit with obedience to Holy Scripture.” Their mission is centered on experiencing Jesus through Worship, Outreach, Relationship, and Discipleship.

This is a church with strong ministry momentum. Kennonsburg offers adult Bible studies, youth groups from kindergarten through high school, a large prayer group through the church app, a Christian book club, a worship band, Holy Grounds Café, and a Family Care Team. The church is also active in outreach and missions, including local pregnancy center support, Lifewise Academy, correctional facility ministry, Operation Christmas Child, Compassion International, and other local and global mission partnerships.

The next Lead Pastor will join a congregation that values biblical teaching, prayer, discipleship, the work of the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, Great Commission living, and collaborative leadership. Kennonsburg is looking for a pastor who is passionate, proactive, and personable: a leader who loves the Lord deeply, genuinely cares for people, preaches with biblical depth, equips others for ministry, and helps the church continue moving outward in mission.

The ideal candidate will bring strong gifts in teaching, leadership, administration, mercy, and discipleship. This pastor should be able to work well with elders, staff, ministry leaders, and members; lead with emotional maturity and relational wisdom; develop spiritual gift-based ministries; guide strategic initiatives; and help the church expand its impact in the local community and beyond.

Kennonsburg Church offers a compelling ministry opportunity for a pastor who is called to serve in a warm, rural, community-centered setting with significant potential for outreach, leadership development, and spiritual growth. The salary range is $70,000–$100,000 all-inclusive, based
on education and experience.

Candidates who sense a possible call to Kennonsburg Church are invited to explore this opportunity through Chemistry Staffing. Interested applicants are asked not to contact the church directly at this time.
