CrossPoint Church in Ingleside, Illinois is looking for a Lead Pastor who loves people, preaches the Word faithfully, and is ready to help a close-knit congregation step into its next season.
If you're someone who thrives in a community where people know your name, the Chain O'Lakes is your backyard playground, and neighbors show up for each other, Ingleside is going to feel like home. Tucked into Lake County about an hour north of Chicago, this area is the kind of place where families plant roots, and the pace of life leaves room for real relationships. You get the charm of a tight-knit town plus easy access to everything the greater Chicago and Milwaukee areas have to offer. For a pastor and family looking for rooted community and meaningful ministry, Ingleside offers a compelling place to call home.
CrossPoint Church has been part of this community since 1958, back when it was still called Fox Lake Baptist Church. Today, 130-150 people gather every Sunday with a genuine love for God and each other. They're elder-governed, staff-led, and member-empowered, which means the new Lead Pastor will step into a collaborative culture where leadership is shared and healthy. The church has seen real momentum lately: stronger small group leadership, a growing youth ministry, and a more aligned team across the board. They're ready to build on that.
The role itself is focused: preach the Word, shepherd people well, and build upon a culture of discipleship. The outgoing pastor has led faithfully for a long time, and the congregation is genuinely excited about what's next.
The pastor who thrives here will love relational ministry just as much as Sunday morning. They'll be a humble, steady presence; someone who earns trust by showing up consistently, casting vision collaboratively with the elders, and investing deeply in the people right in front of them.
Salary range is $80,000–$100,000 plus a generous benefits package including health insurance, retirement, and a parsonage.
Sound like your kind of call? We'd love to hear from you.
