Reach Church in Blair, Nebraska, is prayerfully searching for a Counseling and Care Pastor. This unique opportunity will combine serving as Executive Director of the Upper Room Counseling Center (founded by Reach Church) while also leading and building Care teams in the church. This role will provide pastoral care within the church while guiding a Christ-centered counseling ministry that extends Reach Church’s heart for healing into the broader community.
Reach Church is a thriving, non-denominational congregation of 600–700 weekly attendees with deep roots in the Blair community. Their mission is to be a place where people encounter Jesus and their lives are changed forever. Following a smooth and unified Senior Pastor transition in 2025, the church is experiencing renewed energy, strong volunteer engagement, and steady generosity. This is a season marked by trust, collaboration, and clarity of vision.
The Counseling and Care Pastor will shepherd individuals and families through pastoral counseling, oversee care ministries, equip volunteers, and partner closely with the pastoral staff to ensure holistic care across the church. In addition, this role serves as Executive Director of the Upper Room Counseling Center, a Christian counseling ministry founded by Reach Church that operates as its own 501(c)(3) while remaining closely aligned with the church’s vision and values. Responsibilities include providing leadership to the counseling center, supporting counselors, ensuring organizational health, and stewarding the mission of the ministry.
