Northside Community Church is seeking a Church Planting Resident dedicated to rigorous training, forming core teams, and executing a church-planting plan.

Northside Community Church

Northside Community Church in Knightdale, North Carolina, is seeking a Church Planting Resident who senses a clear call from God to start new gospel-centered communities and is eager to be intentionally equipped for that work. Over the course of the residency, this leader will help shape and form core teams, cultivate healthy community rhythms, and contribute to the development and implementation of a church-planting plan that is aligned with Northside’s vision, theology, and values.

The ideal candidate will meet biblical qualifications for spiritual leadership and demonstrate a life marked by Christlike character, emotional maturity, and relational integrity. This person will display visionary leadership, able to rally others around a shared mission, while also embracing humility, teachability, and a collaborative spirit. Above all, they will carry a deep passion for making disciples who make disciples and for seeing people come to know and follow Jesus in everyday life.

As a Church Planting Resident, you will play a key role in creating strategic plans for a future plant or campus, prayerfully discerning target neighborhoods or communities, and developing outreach strategies that reflect Northside’s heart for both the lost and the marginalized. This role includes intentional mentoring and coaching from Northside’s leadership, exposure to various aspects of church operations, and increasing responsibility as you demonstrate readiness and gifting.

Located in Knightdale, North Carolina, Northside Community Church serves in the heart of a rapidly developing growth corridor that offers a strong blend of opportunity and livability. The community enjoys the feel of a small town while benefiting from close proximity to Raleigh’s extensive job market, reputable healthcare systems, and cultural resources, all within a context of comparatively affordable living. Knightdale is intentionally oriented toward families, with well-regarded schools, parks, greenways, and recreational programs that support an active and connected lifestyle.

In the midst of this growing community, Northside Community Church is firmly rooted in steadfast faith and a deep commitment to meeting the changing needs around it. The church seeks to be a visible expression of hope, healing, and love, living out the Gospel through faithfulness to Scripture, authenticity in relationships, compassion for those who are hurting, and consistent engagement with the community. Through practical service, intentional outreach, and a focus on transformed lives, Northside aims to reflect the heart of Christ to Knightdale and beyond.

By joining Northside’s church planting efforts, you will have the opportunity to steward your leadership gifts, help extend this mission into new places, and participate in work that has lasting Kingdom impact, all while growing personally, spiritually, and vocationally in a supportive church family.

P.S. If this job isn't exactly what you're looking for, feel free to check the job board of open positions.
