Christmas Disrupted: Planning for a Christmas Like No Other

There is no doubt that Christmas 2020 will be different from any other we’ve experienced. We have the potential to reach more people in deeper ways.

You’re probably sick of hearing things like, “Six months ago none of us expected we’d be where we are now.”

Sometimes the truth is hard to hear (over and over again).

As we push deeper into fall with only incremental improvements in life and work over where we were half a year ago, the challenges facing church leaders continue to mount. By now your team is probably just getting its head around how to approach one of the final COVID-related hurdles we’ll face in a year we’re so anxious to put behind us:

How are we going to pull off Christmas?

There is no doubt that Christmas 2020 will be different from any other we’ve experienced. In most churches, anywhere from 65% to 100% of church members and regular seasonal guests will not be in attendance this year. While some things will stay the same, many churches will be forced to scuttle favored traditions, a tangible loss for many in communities world-wide.

On the other hand, opportunities for creativity abound as we approach one of the most important seasons of the liturgical year. New physical and digital experiences will be carefully crafted that have the potential to reach more people in deeper ways.

Chemistry Staffing has been working to help jumpstart your plans for Christmas 2020 by capturing some of the early ideas of church leaders around the globe. We’ve received early responses from churches ranging from 20 to 3000 pre-COVID. But to put together a truly meaningful resource for you and leaders like you, we need more.

Would you consider taking 5 minutes to complete our 2020 Christmas Experience Survey?

TAKE THE SURVEY

Your input will help us get a finger on the pulse of church leaders as we rapidly approach the Christmas season. And by participating in your survey, you’ll receive an exclusive summary report in return. You don’t have to have a grand plan in place to participate. We want to hear from you even if you have no idea what your Christmas experience will look like this year.
