About the Church
Parkview Church is an Evangelical Free congregation with two locations in Iowa City, Iowa. As a church with a rich history of impactful children’s ministry, they are excited to welcome a new Children’s Pastor to oversee the ministry at their original location, as well as provide support and influence to their East Campus location!
The Ideal Candidate
The new Children’s Pastor will:
- Oversee and implement the vision and goals for all areas of the children’s ministry, from nursery through 5th grade
- Excel at building strong relationships with parents and the dedicated volunteer team
- Play a key role in establishing the children’s ministry as a focal point for the guest experience among the growing number of visiting families
- Equip parents for discipleship in the home
The right candidate will possess strong leadership skills, capable of guiding and directing the Children’s Ministry team. They will relate well to both kids and parents and will understand the importance of resourcing parents in the home. It is imperative that the Children’s Pastor effectively identify, develop, and empower volunteer leaders. This leader of leaders should be detail oriented, have a strategic outlook, and be creative and entrepreneurial in their approach to ministry.
