Apply Now! Campus Pastor in Iowa City, IA

Join the passionate team at Parkview Church in Iowa City, Iowa, as their East Campus Pastor.

Parkview Church

Parkview Church in Iowa City, IA is looking for their next East Campus Pastor!

About the Church

Parkview Church, an Evangelical Free congregation in Iowa City, Iowa, has two distinct locations serving the unique needs of each neighborhood. The East Campus location resides in a racially and ethnically diverse community, providing tremendous opportunities for impact and growth. They are looking for their next Campus Pastor to lead the East Campus worshiping community to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the individuals and families there!

The Ideal Candidate

The new Campus Pastor will:

  • Be an effective communicator, serving as the primary preacher for the campus
  • Have a reputation for positive influence in the community
  • Possess strong leadership and teaching gifts
  • Have a pastoral heart for the campus and the community
  • Navigate racial issues that may arise
  • Have a deep passion for outreach ministry
  • Maintain cultural sensitivity and inclusivity
  • Make connections with strategic ministry partners in the city to collaborate and extend the mission of East Campus.

Because of the location of the campus and its history of ministry in a racially and ethnically diverse area, the ideal candidate should be interested in this kind of outreach ministry. A candidate who seems uninterested in outreach to the poor or insensitive to issues of racial or ethnic difference will not fit. This person will oversee the staff, preach regularly, and handle congregational care. Thus, the next campus pastor needs to be able to delegate and lead a team.
