Gateway Community Church in Middleton, Wisconsin, is looking for a Christ-centered, servant-hearted Associate Pastor of Worship & Teaching to join their leadership team.
This isn’t just a "Sunday morning" role. Gateway Community Church is looking for someone who loves building relationships, equipping others, and leading with both humility and joy. You’ll get to lead worship every week, preach now and then, teach God’s Word in smaller settings, and help people connect in community through small groups and discipleship.
The church is praying for someone who can sing, play either piano or guitar, and lead with authenticity—someone who cares more about pointing people to Jesus than putting on a show. The Location
Middleton, WI, known as the "Good Neighbor City," is exactly what it sounds like — a place where neighbors look out for each other, families thrive, and life feels just a little bit slower in the best possible way. Middleton is right next to Madison, which means you get the best of both worlds: small-town community with big-city experiences just minutes away.
Whether you’re walking the trails at Pheasant Branch Conservancy, grabbing ice cream downtown, or watching the sunset over Lake Mendota, life here is full of simple joys and outdoor adventures. It’s a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
The Church
Since 1994, Gateway Community Church has been all about learning God’s Word and living it out together. They’re a church of about 130 people — big enough to feel alive and small enough to feel like family. The congregation is elder-led, gospel-centered, and relationally warm.
The church is about to start a major building expansion to make room for the 4,000 new neighbors moving into the area soon. It’s an exciting season, and they’re praying for the right leader to help them step into it with faith, hope, and love.
The Worship Experience
Worship at Gateway is simple, sincere, and Christ-centered. They mix contemporary worship songs with timeless hymns, aiming for a balance that connects with all ages. Some weeks, it’s just a guitar and a voice. Other weeks, it’s a full band. But every week, the goal is the same: to help people encounter Jesus through music, prayer, and the teaching of God’s Word.
