Lighthouse Church of Boston, MA, is seeking an Associate Pastor of Student and Young Adult Ministries. Lighthouse Church operates on a church-within-a-church model. It is a two-year old church plant that emerged out of the growing English-language youth and young adult ministries of its Arabic-language parent church Arabic Evangelical Baptist Church (AEBC). Lighthouse is an independent English-speaking congregation under the banner of AEBC. In partnership and community with AEBC, Lighthouse seeks to grow in its unique position to serve 1.5 and 2nd generation Middle-Eastern immigrants in their English-language context.

 

Lighthouse Church is located in West Roxbury- a vibrant neighborhood of Boston easily
 accessible to the heart of the city. Known as the “walking city”, Boston offers a unique blend of world-class amenities just minutes apart. Despite its small size, the city boasts renowned museums, prestigious universities, leading healthcare facilities, a rich arts scene and diverse dining. There are a mix of historical and modern attractions, stunning waterfront views, and plenty of parks. Safety is a key highlight, especially when compared to cities of similar caliber. Boston is known for its technological, historical, and political significance, but its charm lies in the vibrant people who call it home.
 
The Associate Pastor of Student and Young Adults is the leader of Lighthouse Church. This individual has broad flexibility and independence to determine the shape of the ministry of Lighthouse Church with the support of the AEBC Church board, ministry team volunteers, and broader AEBC church community. Their role centers on the spiritual growth of the younger members of the church community from middle school through young adulthood. This individual is responsible for leading youth programs, organizing events, and providing mentorship to help the English-speaking congregants build a strong foundation in their faith. They are also responsible for setting the vision and plan for further development of Lighthouse Church ministries.
