Apply Now! Associate Pastor in Berne, IN

Grace Bible Church is prayerfully seeking an Associate Pastor of Preaching, Teaching, and Ministry to join a healthy, Bible-centered congregation.

The Kingdom Opportunity

Grace Bible Church offers the opportunity to build upon more than sixty years of biblical faithfulness while helping prepare a healthy congregation for its next season of ministry. The church is prayerfully seeking an Associate Pastor of Preaching, Teaching, and Ministry who will serve alongside Senior Pastor Jeff Gaskill, strengthen the church’s teaching ministry, and help equip people to become obedient, authentic followers of Jesus Christ.

This is a meaningful opportunity for a pastor who loves communicating God’s Word and shepherding people across generations. Through preaching, Community Groups, pastoral care, and oversight of children’s and youth ministries, the next Associate Pastor will deepen discipleship, develop lay leaders, and encourage greater engagement in the church’s mission. He will also have the opportunity to grow toward long-term leadership succession while earning trust through humble, collaborative ministry.

The Community

Berne, Indiana, is a close-knit community where faith, family, and relationships remain central to everyday life. Its Swiss heritage, local traditions, affordability, schools, parks, walking trails, and youth activities make it an inviting place to put down roots. Grace also draws people from surrounding communities, including Geneva, Bluffton, and Decatur, while Fort Wayne and Indianapolis provide access to additional shopping, healthcare, dining, and cultural opportunities.

The Church

Grace Bible Church began in 1961 when a small group of believers gathered around a shared commitment to the authority of Scripture, salvation by grace through faith, and the proclamation of Jesus Christ. That foundation still shapes the church today. Grace is committed to communicating God’s Word for transformed lives, developing relationships, engaging in Christ-centered worship, believing in God’s power through prayer, and training people to follow Christ.

The congregation’s recent ministry reflects both stability and forward movement. Grace has expanded Tiny Treasures of Grace, its full-time daycare and preschool; installed the community’s largest playground; celebrated recent salvations and baptisms; and strengthened its partnership with Free and Safe Indonesia. The church also hosts The Crossing alternative high school and serves its community through benevolence, food-bank partnerships, service projects, and other outreach efforts.

The next Associate Pastor will enter a church eager to develop leaders, strengthen ministries, and extend its biblical and relational culture into the future.

The Worship Experience

Sunday worship at Grace is reverent, sincere, and centered on Christ. Its blended musical expression includes psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs from CityAlight, Sovereign Grace Music, and the Sing! Hymnal. Scripture readings, prayer, testimonies, and expositional preaching give each gathering spiritual depth and keep God’s Word at the heart of the congregation’s shared worship.

Grace Bible Church may be the right place for a pastor who treasures Scripture, loves people, leads with humility, and finds joy in helping others grow.
