South Mountain Community Church: Young Adults/Youth Pastor - St. George, UT

Are you trustworthy, honest, fun, outgoing? Are you intent on growing personally? Are you a fully devoted, fully delighted follower of Jesus that has a passion to make a real change in the lives of students?

We’d love to find out more about you. South Mountain Community Church is a rapidly growing church of about 800 people in St. George, UT, and we’re looking for our next youth and young adults pastor. Our church is located in an absolutely beautiful part of the country. Our area features stunning state parks, ghost towns, canyons, coves, cactus gardens, historical pioneer buildings, mountain biking, horseback riding, road cycling, and hiking. It’s a great place to do ministry AND to raise a young family.

Our new youth and young adults pastor will shepherd youth and young adults and administrate all volunteer teams associated with our youth and young adults department. This will include Sunday mornings, midweeks, annual camps/trips, and college outreach (we are located near Dixie State University with approximately 20,000 students!).

We want the person we hire to build up and administrate an amazing youth and young adults ministry. Our goal is to take St. George by storm and make the biggest impact possible. This will require a person with grit, dedication, drive, ingenuity, and self-determination.

We prefer a candidate who has completed at least a bachelor's degree in ministry training and is a proficient teacher. This person will have the opportunity to preach and teach on the main stage of South Mountain as well.

We are a non-denominational church and our pastors come from varying backgrounds. The ability to teach, preach, and administrate is very important. Musical skills like playing guitar and being able to sing and coach young musicians would be helpful, but not a requirement.

Does this sound exciting to you? We’d love for you to apply!
