# Apply Now! Senior Pastor in Wilmette, IL

Lead with Heart in a Diverse, Gospel-Driven Community on Chicago's North Shore

Skokie Valley Baptist Church (SVBC) in Wilmette, Illinois, is searching for its next Senior Pastor - someone who loves the Gospel, thrives in diversity, and leads with both vision and humility. Nestled just north of Chicago along the Lake Michigan shoreline, Wilmette offers that sweet spot of suburban charm and city access. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find excellent schools, beautiful parks, and neighbors who actually wave hello. Add in the beach, bike trails, and deep-dish pizza down the road, and you're looking at a great place to live, raise a family, and do ministry.

But SVBC isn’t your typical North Shore church. With 37 ethnicities represented, this congregation is a vibrant mosaic—intentionally multicultural, multi-generational, and grounded in biblical truth. They’re coming out of a transition season and are ready for a leader who will equip and unleash people across cultures and generations to live out the Gospel everywhere.

You’ll be stepping into a church that’s done the hard work of self-reflection, vision casting, and community engagement. They’ve built strong ministries—from dynamic children and student programs to robust local and global outreach. And they’re ready to grow again.

This role is ideal for a pastor who loves to preach with depth, lead with clarity, and disciple with heart. Someone who gets energized by diversity, listens well, leads collaboratively, and doesn’t mind tackling tough conversations with grace.

If you're looking for a place to plant roots, raise up leaders, and reach a community for Christ, Skokie Valley Baptist Church just might be your next home.

From 2007 to 2024 he served in a unique pastoral model as a co-pastor with two other pastors – sharing leadership and the pulpit together. He is married to Jill (a fourth-grade teacher), and they have three adult children and one Golden Doodle. On Andrew’s days off, you will find him on his motorcycle, searching for roads that twist and turn.
