# Apply Now! Senior Pastor in Mattoon, IL

Providence Church is in search of a Senior Pastor to spearhead local mission work, embracing diverse demographics and nurturing spiritual growth among believers.

If you’re the kind of pastor who loves rolling up your sleeves and getting to know your neighbors, Providence Church in Mattoon, Illinois, might be exactly where God is calling you next.

Providence is a warm, family-centered church of about 80 people, rooted in the gospel and driven by a passion for reaching people, making disciples, and building genuine relationships. Their worship blends hymns and contemporary music, creating a heartfelt and authentic atmosphere that feels like home from the moment you walk in.

Life in Mattoon is small-town living at its best with friendly faces, locally owned restaurants, and community events like Bagelfest (yes, the town’s got serious bagel pride). You’ll find plenty of outdoor fun too, with Lake Mattoon and Lake Paradise just minutes away for fishing, boating, or a quiet morning by the water. And if you ever crave a city adventure, Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis are just a couple of hours down the road.

Providence Church is debt-free and full of possibility. They’re looking for a Senior Pastor who can lead with a shepherd’s heart and a mission-minded spirit: someone who loves the Word, connects naturally with people of all ages, and helps inspire growth, especially among young families and students.

If you’re passionate about preaching, discipleship, and community outreach, and if you thrive in a place where authenticity matters more than flash, you’ll fit right in there.

Sound like your kind of place? Providence Church is ready to welcome their next pastor to join them in sharing God’s love and making a lasting impact in Mattoon.
