Conroe Bible Church in Conroe, TX is seeking a Pastor of Student Ministries to oversee all ministries to students ages 11 to 18. Conroe has students who know a great deal of the Bible. The challenge of this role will be to help these students learn to live it and help students who know a great deal about Christ learn to experience Him.
The Pastor of Student Ministries will shepherd the Junior and Senior High students and their families through an incarnational ministry by getting involved in students’ lives, as well as enlisting, equipping, and encouraging the adult volunteers in the student ministries. This role will bring God’s Word to bear upon the students as the primary teacher for student gatherings, through counseling, and equipping for service.
The right candidate will understand and practice the spiritual dynamics of authentic biblical community as well as communicate and relate well with students and their parents. This spiritually mature leader will enjoy people and like to laugh. They will be able to speak truth and live grace.
Conroe provides easy access to Houston and its amenities as the fourth largest city in the United States, without having to live in an urban environment. There are major sports leagues, an international airport, museums, parks, and the arts are readily available. The Gulf coast is ninety minutes south via interstate and three major universities are within an even shorter drive. Outdoor sports are in abundance because of Lake Conroe (recreational boating, fishing), the National Forest (hiking, hunting), deer leases, city parks, and numerous golf courses.
