The Pastor of Next Generation Ministries at Covenant Church in Shepherdstown, WV, provides vision and direction for a comprehensive discipleship strategy serving children, students, and young adults. This role brings these ministries together around a shared purpose: helping the next generation grow as faithful followers of Christ and put their faith into practice. The focus extends beyond ministry programming to the relationships, teaching, and leadership that support lasting spiritual growth.

Through intentional discipleship and meaningful engagement, the Pastor of Next Generation Ministries helps young people connect the Gospel to everyday life. Partnering with families and equipping ministry leaders are important parts of that work, creating opportunities for the next generation to deepen their faith, participate in the life of the church, and serve others. This is an opportunity to combine pastoral care with thoughtful leadership, encouraging children, students, and young adults to use their gifts and carry the hope of the Gospel into their communities.

Shepherdstown, West Virginia offers a peaceful setting in the tri-state area, with access to Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Outdoor recreation, cultural events, and historic sites provide opportunities to enjoy the area and connect with the community beyond church life.

Covenant Church seeks to live out Christian values through genuine relationships and a welcoming environment for spiritual growth. The Pastor of Next Generation Ministries will support that mission by developing staff, shepherding families, teaching, and equipping leaders. Collaboration across ministries is central to the role, keeping the work with children, students, and young adults connected to the church's broader purpose.

If your calling includes investing in the next generation, partnering with parents, and turning a discipleship vision into practical ministry, consider exploring this opportunity at Covenant Church. It is an invitation to serve a community committed to encountering God, growing in fellowship, and living out the Gospel in everyday life.
