Shoreline Church in Monterey, California, exists to help as many people as possible to become
totally committed to Jesus Christ. They are looking for a Next Gen Pastor/Director who will
nurture the spiritual development of students in grades 6-12, focusing on both discipleship
within the church and outreach to students who do not attend church. Responsibilities include
strategic planning, scheduling, and managing weekly programs and organizing special events
such as camps, conferences, trips, and service projects.
This person will provide leadership, training, support, and oversight to all Student’s Ministry staff
and volunteers. They will also articulate and model the mission and vision for the Student
Ministry, including defining and implementing strategies to meet that vision. In addition, they will
be responsible for implementing and developing programming for the spiritual formation of
students and equipping parents to lead as the primary spiritual leaders for their children.
Shoreline Church began in 1994 with approximately 115 people. Over the past 20+ years, the
church has grown to 2,000 people. Reflective of their area, they are not an old-fashioned,
traditional church, nor are they seeking to be a hip, trendy church. Shoreline Church strives to
reflect the people and places found in its local community. With a focus on transformational
living, Spirit-led processes, creativity and innovation, genuine care for people, a global vision,
and solid Biblical teaching, Shoreline will continue to make a significant kingdom impact both
locally and abroad.
