The Job:

As the Next Generation Pastor / Minister at New Covenant Bible Church, your primary responsibility will be to provide pastoral leadership for all Next Generation ministries for children and youth (ages 0-18). This role includes casting vision for the ministries, recruiting and developing volunteer leaders, maintaining strong relationships with parents, managing ministry budgets, and ensuring child safety. You will teach, preach, develop curriculum, plan events, and oversee programs designed to build discipleship relationships and provide pastoral care. This position requires strong skills in teaching, leadership, disciple-making, and event coordination, as well as the ability to equip and train volunteer teams. Technical skills in managing sound systems, creating teaching slides, and using programs like Propresenter and Planning Center are also essential.

St. Charles, Illinois, located in the far western suburbs, approximately 40 miles from downtown Chicago, is a beautiful and vibrant community situated along the Fox River. Known for its excellent schools, beautiful parks, and friendly neighborhoods, St. Charles is an ideal place to live and raise a family. The area offers a high quality of life with abundant outdoor recreational opportunities along the riverfront, providing a perfect setting for families to enjoy quality time together. With a population of around 32,000, St. Charles maintains a small-town feel while offering easy access to the cultural and economic benefits of the greater Chicago area.

The Church: 

New Covenant Bible Church is a non-denominational church family centered on the gospel and passionate about helping everyone take the next step toward Christ. With a weekly attendance of 450, the church is experiencing an exciting time of growth, unity, and enthusiasm within the congregation. Recently, the church completed a large renovation project focused on reaching the next generation, creating modern and safe environments for children and youth. The church governance is elder-led, ensuring alignment with the congregation's beliefs and fostering unity and shared accountability in leadership and decision-making.

The Worship Experience: 

The worship team at New Covenant Bible Church, comprised of vocalists, guitars, bass, piano, and drums, leads the congregation in singing modern worship songs and older hymns with rich theological depth. Artists featured in worship include Shane and Shane, Sovereign Grace, Hillsong, CityAlight, and Keith and Kristyn Getty. The church offers two identical worship services each week, each lasting around 75 minutes. These services incorporate liturgical elements such as a call to worship, readings, prayers, and the weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper. The preaching team, led by Dan Leeper and David Sunday, delivers expository sermons with a gospel-centered approach, emphasizing Christ in all Scripture.
