Are you passionate about making disciple makers and caring for families?

New Life Christian Church, a multi-site church in Northern Virginia with campuses in Chantilly and Bristow, is seeking a Next Gen Minister. In addition to investing in the families who already attend New Life, the Next Gen Minister will reach into the local communities to introduce more families to Jesus Christ.

Rather than seeking a candidate with specific experience or education requirements, the church is searching for someone who has a proven track record of leading families to Christ and effectively leading teams of adults. This is not a position for a “solo” minister who does all the work themselves. New Life needs someone who can recruit, train, and deploy a team of leaders. This person must be a driven self-starter who is looking for a place where they can unleash their inner beast when it comes to making disciples.

The Next Gen Minister will carry overall vision and leadership for family ministry, focusing on the Chantilly Campus of New Life Christian Church. This will include continually evaluating the needs of family ministry while working with campus pastors to improve and grow. This position will lead and recruit volunteer leaders as well as oversee and make staffing recommendations for all children’s and student ministries to campus pastors and executive ministers. This minister will develop relationships with families throughout the church and community while remaining current on literature, trends, and practices in family ministry.

The right candidate will be able to lead and thrive in a team-based environment with demonstrated conflict management skills. In addition to effective oral and written communication skills, they will show strong organizational skills and constructively multi-task. Empathy and the ability to provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual counseling are necessary. New Life is looking for someone who is teachable, responsive, respectful and can adapt with a fast-paced organization, ideally with 3-5 years experience leading a growing family ministry.

Chantilly is a historical, peaceful, small-town amidst the hustle and bustle of the big city. Everything you could want is close by – restaurants, shopping, parks, recreational activities, large libraries, entertainment, festivals, and events– there is always something to do and explore.

Does this sound like a place you’d like to serve?
