Montgomery Community Church (MCC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, is looking for its next Executive Pastor. The church was founded in 1942 and was first located closer to downtown Cincinnati. Around 50 years ago, the church moved to its current location due to church growth and families moving to this surrounding area. Their vision is to become “a diverse community seeing future generations transformed by the gospel,” which is empowered and guided by the following core values:  Jesus is our message. Scripture is our guide. Disciple-making is our mission. Biblical Community is our calling. Unity is our pursuit. Serving is our posture. Grace is our tone. Worship is our lifestyle.

With growing attendance, currently averaging 1100 attendees, Montgomery Community Church, with its beautiful campus and surrounding area, has a deep call to love one another, to live as one, and to seek justice and peace, most especially for the oppressed and marginalized.

This will be a healthy transition with their current Executive Pastor retiring. This role will act as the Chief Operating Officer of MCC, reporting to the Lead Pastor. Refine, update, and deploy MCC’s vision and strategy. Develop the people and operating systems and processes that nurture/supervise all ministries and support staff and ensure that all ministry teams are integrated to support MCC’s vision and strategy. Enable the Lead Pastor to put his full attention and passion toward preaching, teaching, and mentoring the congregation and staff.

If you have the following skill set and would love to live in a city with great art, sports, and outdoor community, please consider applying for this position:

  • Demonstrate an engaging presence in a large public setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills that reach across ethnic and generational barriers.
  • Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to multitask, good decision-making skills, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to lead at an “executive” level.
  • Strong leadership capability to help develop and nurture our staff for individual growth.
  • Must be able to see big-picture strategy while creating tactical plans that support that strategy.
