The phrase “trust the process” has become commonplace of late. Whether it’s a banner in a football stadium, a slogan thrown out in a press conference, or sage advice from a trusted friend or counselor, it seems that we are constantly being told to trust the process. Over the last several weeks, I’ve outlined our process for helping churches find the right person for their team. We talked about our assessments, our interviews, why we believe that virtual works, and how we leverage video technology. We’ve talked about why we do what we do and how it has worked in the past.
If you are like me, when you read through descriptions of a process you quickly move to the bottom line and ask “so how do I know it will work?” To answer that, I’d like to share a few numbers and then let you hear from one of the people who we’ve walked alongside in the hiring process:
