FBC New Lebanon

The Job

First Baptist Church New Lebanon is seeking a Student Pastor who senses a calling to invest deeply in the next generation and help shape a student ministry marked by spiritual depth, relational connection, and gospel impact. This role is about more than leading weekly gatherings. It is about walking with students during some of the most formative years of their lives and helping them develop a faith that is rooted, resilient, and mission-minded.

The Student Pastor will lead middle and high school ministries through engaging teaching, intentional discipleship, and meaningful relationships. Working closely with the Lead Pastor and staff team, this leader will help strengthen the church’s discipleship pathway by creating environments where students are known, challenged, and encouraged to follow Jesus in everyday life. The church longs to see students not only attend but belong, grow, and step into leadership as active participants in the life of the church.

The Location

New Lebanon, Ohio, offers the kind of setting where relationships matter and ministry can take deep root. Located 20 to 25 minutes west of Dayton, this close-knit community values family, connection, and shared life. With strong schools, local parks, and youth sports, the area provides a supportive environment for families. The church also draws students from surrounding communities, creating a broad and diverse ministry context with significant opportunity for outreach and long-term influence.

The Church

Founded in 1957, First Baptist Church New Lebanon has faithfully served its community for decades while embracing a renewed vision for the future. In recent seasons, the church has experienced clear momentum, including record baptisms, growth among young families, and expanded discipleship efforts. With an average weekly attendance of 400 to 440 and no debt, the church is healthy, stable, and positioned for continued growth.

The church is elder-led with strong congregational involvement and is unified around its mission to glorify God by making disciples who change the world. Biblical authority, gospel centrality, excellence, and leadership development are woven into the fabric of church life.

The Worship Experience

Worship at First Baptist Church New Lebanon is modern, welcoming, and Scripture-centered. Services are led by a full band and shaped by contemporary worship influences, paired with expository preaching that helps people apply God’s Word to everyday life. The atmosphere is warm and relational, creating space for both spiritual growth and authentic community across generations.
