The Job
Faith Arlington is not looking for someone to simply oversee discipleship ministries. They are seeking a builder, strategist, and leader developer who can help create the next generation of disciple-makers within a rapidly growing church.
As hundreds of new people continue to connect with the church, leadership recognizes a critical challenge: how do you help people move from attendance to engagement, from engagement to spiritual maturity, and from maturity to multiplication? The next Discipleship Pastor will help answer those questions.
This role combines the heart of a shepherd with the mindset of a strategist. The Discipleship Pastor will lead the development and execution of a church-wide disciple-making strategy designed to move people through Faith Arlington's discipleship pathway of attending, belonging, and becoming. While Home Groups play an important role, the church is looking for someone who can think beyond groups and build a comprehensive culture of discipleship that permeates every aspect of adult ministry.
The ideal candidate will develop leaders, train disciple-makers, strengthen ministry pathways, and create systems that help people engage in intentional spiritual relationships. Faith Arlington is looking for someone who can transform facilitators into disciple-makers, develop leadership pipelines, and create environments where multiplication becomes part of the church's DNA. This role also includes opportunities to serve on the teaching team, regularly communicating biblical truth and discipleship vision to the congregation.
For the right leader, this is an opportunity to help shape the future spiritual health of an entire church.
The Location
Arlington, Tennessee, offers the warmth of a close-knit community with the convenience of nearby Memphis. Known for excellent schools, beautiful neighborhoods, and a family-friendly atmosphere, Arlington has become one of the most desirable communities in the region.
Residents enjoy local parks, community events, recreational opportunities, and a strong sense of connection. It is a place where families thrive, relationships matter, and long-term ministry can flourish.
The Church
Sixteen years ago, Faith Arlington began as a small group meeting in borrowed space. Since then, God has continued to bless and grow the ministry in remarkable ways.
In 2021, the church averaged approximately 250 people. Today, Faith Arlington welcomes between 1,500 and 1,700 people each weekend across three worship services. More than 200 people were baptized last year, and dozens more have already followed Christ in baptism this year. The church is currently navigating a major facility expansion initiative as it seeks to create more space for ministry and future growth.
The vision is simple and compelling: Know Jesus. Make Him Known. The mission is to make disciples of Jesus who grow in maturity and help others do the same. One of the church's defining statements is, "We exist for those who are not yet here."
Faith Arlington is deeply committed to being Jesus-centered, Gospel-driven, prayer-dependent, and grounded in biblical authority. The church's growth has created tremendous opportunities, but leadership believes the greatest opportunity ahead is not simply creating more space; it is helping more people become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
The Worship Experience
Worship at Faith Arlington is modern, Christ-centered, and rooted in Scripture. Across three weekly services, contemporary worship, authentic community, and practical expository preaching create an environment where people can encounter God and take meaningful next steps in their faith.
Each service is intentionally designed to help people know Jesus more deeply and live out their faith more fully. The atmosphere is welcoming, sincere, and focused on life transformation through the Gospel. Biblical truth is taught with clarity, practical application, and a consistent emphasis on helping people follow Jesus in everyday life.
