Saint Michael and All Angels, one of the largest Episcopal Churches in the United States, seeks a full-time Director of Engagement. The Director of Engagement will work across all ministry areas to connect on-site visitors, distanced visitors, and parishioners to the resources of this church with the intent to form mature Christian disciples.
This vision will be accomplished by designing a systematic approach to welcome visitors, create/sustain small groups, and trace parishioners as they progress through our small group offerings and discipleship curricula.
What will the Director of Engagement do? This leader will be the primary coordinator of people connecting with the church on Sunday mornings. They will recruit and oversee volunteers, manage the Member Tracing and Welcome Ministries, create a dynamic visitor follow-up program, create small groups for discipleship, connect visitors and members to our community then trace their progress through core curriculums, engage members and determine their gifts, and become proficient with our church database and make ongoing recommendations for improvement. The Director of Engagement will also be the champion for engagement across all areas of ministry.
Saint Michael and All Angels has partnered with Chemistry to broaden recruitment to include those outside of the Episcopal community to bring a fresh set of skills and experience to accomplish their mission. Those without Episcopal affiliation are encouraged to apply so long as there is a commitment to become familiar with the Episcopal Church and remain faithful to Saint Michael’s core focus and values.
