New Day Christian Church is a growing, soon-to-be multisite church in Charlotte County, Florida. New Day is looking for a Children’s Pastor for their Port Charlotte location. The ideal candidate will use a culturally relevant approach to connect with kids and their parents. They will be a vibrant leader among the staff and church body contributing to the church’s mission to engage people with the love of God, inspire them to follow Jesus, and equip them to serve our world and ultimately its vision to be a church that multiplies people and churches. A great candidate will be a leader of leaders, resourcing and equipping others to carry out the ministry.
The Port Charlotte Children’s Pastor will oversee the ministry impact of the birth through 5th-grade ages within New Day’s NextGen Ministry. Essential responsibilities will include:
- Team development
- Parental development
- Program implementation
- Assisting the development of New Day’s NextGen Ministry Scope and Sequence
- Recruitment and retention of volunteer team leads, teachers, and helpers
Charlotte County is an area of pleasant family communities, parks, and excellent schools. It is a fisherman’s dream, a boater’s delight, and a golfer’s paradise. Charlotte County has some amazing beaches and rivers that flow to the Gulf of Mexico. There are multiple shops and restaurants in historic Punta Gorda. Additionally, Charlotte County is the spring training site for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team and the future North Port campus will be located near the new home of the Atlanta Braves spring training site.
