Connection Christian Church is in search of a Children's Pastor to lead the children's ministry, focusing on equipping families, developing teams, and creating environments.

 Connection Christian Church in the O’Fallon / Dardenne Prairie area of Missouri is looking for a Children’s Pastor to lead and grow their children’s ministry with a clear heart for families.

This is a hands-on role focused on equipping parents, developing volunteer teams, and creating safe, engaging environments where kids can encounter Jesus. The Children's Pastor will help drive a connected discipleship vision that nurtures spiritual growth for children while staying aligned with the church’s larger mission of helping people trust and follow Jesus.

 Connection is a non-denominational, elder-led church co-pastored by Bryan Fakes and Jimmy Scott. Their vision,“For Your Family,” is about more than programs. They want to help individuals, couples, parents, and households experience the transforming presence of Jesus through intentional discipleship, meaningful relationships, and spiritually formative life together. Their approach moves people through Make (first steps of faith), Mentor (growing toward maturity), and Mobilize (joining Jesus’ mission). Worship is contemporary and energetic (think full-band style similar to Elevation or Hillsong), preaching is conversational and practical, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. They average around 175 in worship and kids ministry on Sundays at 10 a.m.

The church has a solid foundation after years of portable meetings and a permanent home that opened in 2018. They recently celebrated 25 years of ministry and are intentionally strengthening systems, leadership, and generosity (including their Forward initiative) as they look ahead. Children’s ministry already has secure, age-specific space and a focus on biblical teaching, family partnership, and volunteer leadership. The next Children’s Pastor will have room to build on that while partnering closely with parents and the broader staff and elder team.

Life in St. Charles County is a big part of the appeal. The area blends suburban community with easy access to outdoor recreation (thousands of acres of parkland, the Katy Trail, and the Missouri River), historic St. Charles, and the amenities of greater St. Louis about 35 miles away. It’s a family-friendly place with a welcoming vibe, good quality of life, and room to grow.

If you have a genuine love for kids and families, a heart for relational discipleship, and the ability to recruit, develop, and empower volunteers while building healthy systems, this could be a strong fit. Connection is looking for someone who is humble, teachable, organized, pastorally relational, and committed to aligning with the church’s mission and values.
