The Kingdom Opportunity
Plymouth Alliance Church sees more than 2,000 students in its community and an opportunity to help more of them know Jesus, grow in their faith, and become lifelong disciples who make an impact for Christ. The foundation is already there. Anchored Youth is an established ministry, Wednesday nights draw approximately 35 students, and eight small groups create space for students to build relationships and grow together.
The next Associate Pastor for Youth Ministry gets to build on that foundation. The church wants a pastor who will first listen, learn, and understand what is working, then bring fresh ideas and leadership to strengthen the ministry over time. He will invest personally in students, develop volunteers, cultivate student leaders, expand outreach, and help students connect biblical truth to everyday life. He will also serve the broader church pastorally, including preaching four to six times each year.
The Community
Nestled in Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine region, Plymouth combines small-town relationships with access to larger communities throughout the region. Approximately 9,000 people call Plymouth home, drawn to its highly regarded schools, safe neighborhoods, historic downtown, and strong sense of community. Seventeen parks, trails, an aquatic center, skiing, fishing, hiking, and nearby Lake Michigan make outdoor recreation part of everyday life.
The Church
Plymouth Alliance Church began with a neighborhood Bible study in the early 1980s and today welcomes approximately 220 people each weekend. Its mission remains clear: to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. As part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, the church exalts Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King.
There are encouraging signs of opportunity. Youth and children's ministries have experienced growth, new families with children have begun attending, and PAC-U classes are helping people of all ages go deeper in Scripture. The church also wants to strengthen its presence beyond its walls through community relationships and outreach. Its 16-acre campus already serves neighbors through a sport court, community garden, pavilion, and partnerships with local organizations. With ministry space becoming a growing concern and future expansion under consideration, the next Youth Pastor will have a voice in helping the church think strategically about what comes next.
The Worship Experience
Sunday worship at Plymouth Alliance is intentionally blended, bringing contemporary worship songs and timeless hymns together in a 60-to-70-minute gathering. Keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, and vocalists lead the congregation, while singing, offering, mission stories, monthly Communion, and a substantial 30-to-35-minute biblical message keep Scripture and the mission of Christ central.
Apply Now
Plymouth Alliance Church is not looking for someone to reinvent a ministry that is already bearing fruit. They are looking for a pastor who loves God deeply, loves His Word intensely, and wants to find creative ways to reach students and make disciples.
If you are energized by building relationships with students, developing leaders, teaching Scripture, reaching beyond the walls of the church, and helping young people build a faith that follows them into adulthood, prayerfully consider whether God may be calling you to Plymouth. This is an opportunity to strengthen what is working while helping shape what comes next for a generation of students.
