This unique role blends two critical areas of ministry: leading the congregation in Christ-centered worship and discipling students in grades 5–12. The Associate Pastor will plan and lead weekly worship services, train and mentor worship volunteers, and create an engaging and biblically grounded worship culture. On the student side, the role includes casting vision for a comprehensive discipleship program, teaching God’s Word, leading youth gatherings, equipping adult leaders, and walking alongside parents as they invest in their students’ faith formation. The ideal candidate will be a strong vocalist, able to lead with piano or guitar, and gifted in both worship leadership and student discipleship. They will demonstrate humility, creativity, and a collaborative spirit while stewarding their gifts to inspire authentic worship and spiritual growth in the next generation.   The Location Middleton, WI, known as the “Good Neighbor City,” lives up to its reputation with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Ranked by Fortune Magazine as one of the top 50 places to raise a family, Middleton offers excellent schools, abundant outdoor recreation, and proximity to the cultural and professional opportunities of nearby Madison. Whether hiking scenic trails, enjoying lake activities, or exploring the arts and sports in Madison, residents experience the best of both small-town charm and city convenience.   The Church Gateway Community Church, founded in 1994, has grown into a vibrant congregation of around 130 attenders each week. With a mission “to learn God’s Word in order to joyfully live as disciples who make disciples,” the church is rooted in expository preaching, elder-led governance, and authentic community life. Gateway is stepping into an exciting new chapter with a planned building expansion that will allow the congregation to reach nearly 4,000 new neighbors moving into the area.   The Worship Experience Worship at Gateway is gospel-centered and thoughtfully designed to engage both heart and mind. Services feature a blend of contemporary worship songs and timeless hymns from artists like Keith and Kristyn Getty, CityAlight, Chris Tomlin, and Phil Wickham. A typical service includes songs of praise, guided prayer, expository preaching, and communion, creating a seamless flow of worship and Word. Beyond Sunday mornings, Gateway fosters an environment where people linger to pray, talk, and share life together.   Apply Now If you are a worshipper, disciple-maker, and leader of people with a heart to invest in both the gathered church and the next generation, Gateway Community Church invites you to apply.
