Come Grow with Emmanuel Church

Emmanuel Church in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is a thriving, non-denominational congregation of 1,750 attendees with a deep commitment to regional impact. After a period of rapid revitalization, the church has seen explosive growth in attendance and salvations over the past few years, averaging around 1,750 in attendance weekly. With a clear vision and a debt-free budget, Emmanuel is ready to welcome a high-capacity leader to help guide its next chapter of ministry.

Chemistry Staffing is honored to partner with Emmanuel Church as they search for their next Associate Pastor, a visionary leader who will champion the church’s mission to “Gather, Grow, and Go!”. This new pastor will play a critical role in enhancing relational connections within the church and expanding missional influence throughout the "219 Corridor."

The Next Associate Pastor Will:

- **Lead connection and assimilation** by establishing clear pathways for newcomers to engage and thrive spiritually.
- **Support a culture of discipleship** through the support of "Crews," the church's sermon-based small group ministry.
- **Empower and train leaders**, building sustainable structures and systems to support long-term ministry growth.
- **Drive missional mobilization**, managing outreach initiatives that connect the church to the local community and the world.
- **Provide authentic pastoral care**, offering holistic support that addresses the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of the congregation.
- **Communicate with clarity**, utilizing strong teaching and preaching skills to convey biblical truths relationally.

High-Capacity Leadership Needed

The ideal candidate for this role is a relational, visionary leader who builds trust quickly and leads from a place of spiritual maturity and wholeness. Emmanuel is looking for a "leader of leaders" who is energized by building systems, forming volunteers, and fostering environments where people can encounter the Gospel.

A standout applicant will demonstrate high emotional intelligence, a teachable spirit, and an "unoffendable" disposition while navigating the challenges of a growing church. If you love creating structural pathways for discipleship and are comfortable utilizing technology to enhance ministry flow, this role offers a transformative opportunity to serve.

A Church Rooted in Vision and Truth

Emmanuel Church operates with a modern, contemporary worship style and a "Gather, Grow, Go" ethos that nourishes congregants for mission-driven living. The leadership is guided by an elder-led congregational model, emphasizing unity, spiritual growth, and a hunger for biblical teaching.

The church's 219 Vision focuses on a powerful movement of God along the major highway artery of Route 219, transforming the region through small groups and strategic partnerships. From the ABLE Special Needs Ministry to the True Vine Church plant, Emmanuel’s heart for service extends far beyond its 1,750-person weekend gatherings.

A Great Area to Call Home

Johnstown, PA, and the surrounding Richland Township offer a high quality of life with a low cost of living. Consistently recognized for its safety and welcoming atmosphere, the region has even been ranked as one of the most livable areas in Pennsylvania by *Money Magazine*.

Highlights include:

- - **Top-rated public schools** and a family-friendly, suburban environment.
    - **Stunning landscapes** with four distinct seasons, rolling hills, and wooded areas.
    - **Abundant recreation**, including museums, historical sites, festivals, and diverse outdoor activities.
    - **Economic opportunity**, supported by a developing retail district and the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown campus.

Do You Have What it Takes to Lead Here?

Emmanuel Church is looking for a strategic, relational pastor who brings both passion and humility; someone ready to invest deeply in the people and mission. If you are energized by discipleship and eager to join a unified team committed to extraordinary outreach, this could be your perfect fit.

Apply today and help Emmanuel Church shape lives and communities for God’s glory!
