The Associate Pastor of Family Ministries at First Baptist Church in Paso Robles, California, provides vision and leadership for children’s, youth, and family ministries. This role brings these ministries together around the church’s vision of presenting every person mature in Christ. The focus extends beyond programs and events to building relationships, equipping parents, and helping children and students develop a faith that shapes everyday life.

Through intentional discipleship and pastoral care, the Associate Pastor of Family Ministries will strengthen existing ministries while developing a comprehensive strategy for serving families. Recruiting and equipping volunteers, fostering connections across generations, and reaching young families in the community are important parts of that work. This is an opportunity to combine thoughtful leadership with a shepherd’s heart, helping families grow in Christ and participate in the life and mission of the church.

Paso Robles, California, offers small-town charm in the Central Coast region, surrounded by oak trees, vineyards, and rolling hills. A historic downtown, community events, and access to beaches and outdoor recreation provide opportunities to enjoy the area and build relationships beyond church life. Connections among local schools, churches, nonprofits, and businesses create meaningful opportunities for community engagement.

First Baptist Church builds on more than 135 years of Gospel ministry, with a commitment to biblical teaching, discipleship, and missions. The Associate Pastor of Family Ministries will work closely with the Senior Pastor, elders, staff, and ministry leaders to support the church’s mission of transforming lives for Jesus Christ. Building trust, developing leaders, and strengthening relationships with parents and volunteers will help lay a foundation for lasting ministry.

If your calling includes investing in children and students, partnering with parents, and equipping others to serve, consider exploring this opportunity at First Baptist Church. It is an invitation to help a multigenerational congregation nurture faith in the home, welcome families from its community, and grow together toward maturity in Christ.
